Thinking of visiting Saint Joseph at the YMCA? Here’s what you can expect…
What opportunities are there for my children? Saint Joseph Kids is the children’s ministry of Saint Joseph at the YMCA. On Sunday mornings, we offer nursery and childcare for newborns through age 3. On the first Sunday of the month, we encourage families to worship together in the worship space. We value and appreciate the life-giving, joyful noises children add to our worship gathering. On additional Sunday’s, we invite the children to participate in our “breakout” session. During breakout, the children are invited to gather in the YMCA Teen Room for lessons, games, crafts and other activities!
What should I wear? We want you to be comfortable. Therefore, you should feel free to dress as you like. Saint Joseph at the YMCA is a relaxed and informal church. The common dress style is casual. On any given Sunday, you might see individuals wearing “church clothes” and others wearing jeans, shorts and flip-flops (which we also call “church clothes”).
Is there a youth group? Yes! Saint Joseph at the YMCA is a worshipping community of Saint Joseph UMC. Therefore, we invite all of our students to participate in the student ministries at Saint Joseph UMC. We encourage our youth to participate in our worship gathering. We also encourage our students to find ways to serve at Saint Joseph at the YMCA. If you have questions or would like more information, contact us at: sdaniels@stjoemin.com
